TOLEDO, OH — April 17, 2006
Officials from ARCA have announced that a custom Hummer H2 from John
Schumacher and Hummers Gone Wild will serve as the Official Courtesy Vehicle of
ARCA for 2006.
“We met John Schumacher through Ken Schrader at the PRI Show in Orlando, and
we both decided we wanted to do business together,” said Mark Gundrum, VP of
Marketing and Communications for ARCA.
“John wanted his custom Hummers to be part of ARCA, and together we decided
that a courtesy vehicle program would be a great fit for both of our
companies.”
The customized Hummers Gone Wild H2 ARCA Courtesy Vehicle debuted at Daytona
during the 43rd running of the Daytona ARCA 200. Schumacher and his staff were
on hand to meet and greet drivers, sponsors and fans at the season opening
event, and introduce them to the new program. “The amazing show at Daytona
experienced by me and my team solidified our commitment to ARCA, its race teams,
sponsors, and fans,” said John Schumacher, President of Hummers Gone Wild. “We
are thrilled about our involvement with ARCA and are extremely pleased to
provide them with one of our tricked out Hummers.”
The Hummers Gone Wild H2 Courtesy Vehicle will be on hand at the remaining 22
events on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, and will also appear at select ARCA
Lincoln Welders Truck Series races and at ARCA Sanctioned Toledo Speedway and
Flatrock Speedway.
